Family Friendly Halloween Events

Creepy Crawlies Halloween
October 5-6 - Heckrodt Nature Reserve, 6-9pm
Activities for everyone include live owls, storytelling, and a horse pulled hayride lit by jack o lanterns.  Try our fun and spooky haunted trail. Little Spooks trail for kids 5 and under.

Rades Family Pumpkin Carving Display
October 5-7 - 1225 E. Harding Dr., Appleton 5-9pm
This FREE display consists of intricately carved pumpkins and thousands of orange and purple lights for everyone to enjoy! Optional donations are accepted and proceeds will benefit a local charity.

Halloween Campground Walk
October 6 - High Cliff State Park, 4-8pm
Dress up and trick-or-treat at the Family Campground! Campsites will be decorated for Halloween, concessions will also be available adjacent to the campground. 

October 20, 8:30am-Noon
Neenah Farm Market, Shattuck Park
Fun, fall, family event with Halloween activities including a kids costume contest, kids activities, pumpkin bowling, trick-or-treating both Downtown and at the Market, pet costume contest & Cranked pumpkin carving contest.   

Halloween Splash Bash
October 25 - Appleton West High School Pool, 1-3pm
Enjoy open swim while you listen to "spooky" Halloween music, play games, and receive a Trick-or-Treat grab bag! Please have your child come ready to swim as this is not a costume party!

The Building for Kids Spooktacular Halloween Party
October 26 - The Building for Kids Children's Museum, Appleton, 9am-7pm
Kid-friendly spooky programs and fun hands-on activities! Come in costume and get 1/2 admission!

Boo! Happy Halloween Magic Show
October 26 - Menasha Public Library
Enjoy a Halloween Magic Show with Magician Rondini, and Halloween fun for all ages. We’ll end our time together with a visit to the gently “haunted hallway.” Be sure to wear your Halloween costume!  No registration is required.

Pumpkin Carving & Costume Contest
Saturday, October 27 - Wanick Choute Park Pavillion, 2pm
After trick-or-treating head over to the park for pumpkin decorating and carving, and costume contest!

YMCA Freaky 5K
October 27 - Pierce Park, Appleton
Head out for this fun 5k! Costumes are encouraged and all participants receive Chip Timing, refreshments include: coffee, cider, bagels, fruit cookies & cheese curds and Halloween Goodie Bag!

Hortonville Halloween Celebration 
October 28
Opera House, Hotonville - 2:15-5pm
Parade starts at 2:15 from Commercial Club Park and ends at Opera House for a fun Halloween program! Trick-or-treating in Hortonville from 3-5pm

Great Pumpkin Hunt 
October 29 - Clovis Grove Park, Menasha 6pm
Get dressed up and come out for a pumpkin hunt! Kids search for reflective pumpkin stickers hidden throughout the park, then turn in your stickers for candy and prizes!

Halloween at Funset "Boo-Levard"
October 31 - Funset Boulevard, 4-10pm
Bring the kids to Funset Boulevard for FREE Unlimited access to Bumper Cars, Carrousel, Playground & Train! Funset will also be offering 1/2 price admission to Laser Tag (must be 48' tall).

Haunted Hearthstone
Friday’s in October (10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26) 6-8pm
Hearthstone Historic House Museum, Appleton
Six spine-tingling gothic tales from the 1800s will be presented in various rooms throughout the Victorian mansion. Haunted tours present an overall spooky ambiance, which is more subtle and informational than a typical haunted house, where fright is the key goal.

Burial Chamber
N. lake St., Neenah - Runs September 22 - November 3
Rated one of America's Top Haunted Houses! They offer 3 seperate haunted attractions and 4 burial simulators.  

Youth Go's Haunted House
October 12-13, 19-20, 26-27 - Neenah’s Old City Garage, 6-9:30pm
Our Haunted House is recommended for guests ages 10 and older; parents should use personal discretion.

A Night to Dismember
Appleton North High School, 10/26 & 10/27 1-4pm & 6-10pm
Appleton North High School's Theatre Department presents its annual Haunted House—“A Night to Dismember”. Along with the traditional scary haunted house, they also offer less-scary flashlight tours for younger kids, carnival games, a mini-inflatable haunted house for little ones, a costume contest, and a bake sale!

The Hallows
October 6 & 7 - Memorial Park, Neenah, 7-10pm
Haunted trail walk through woods, 10/6 & 10/7 from 7-10pm

Fright Night at the Park
October 20, 21, 26, 27 & 28 - Greenville Community Park, 6:30-10pm
Haunted pavillion, Zoo, Hayride & Bonfire. Kid-friendly haunted hour from 6:30-7:30pm.

Trick-or-treat made easy and safe! Visit these area churches for their trunk-or-treat events. People come and park with trunks filled with candy, kids come in costume and can trick-or-treat around the parking lot.
