Fox Cities Paper Trail - Connecting Communities
The Paper Trail is an approximately 50-mile circle route through 11 communities and 20 area parks, throughout the Fox Cities region.
The project has been an on-going project of Fox Cities Greenways.
The purpose of the Paper Trail is to link parks in the area to create an “emerald necklace” of our special green spaces, circle the Fox Cities and provide communities with a frame in which to construct and link trails. It also provides a unique recreational opportunity for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.
Over the years, Fox Cities Greenways has worked with communities to expand what was only two local trails into a regional network that finally makes it possible to connect the dots. Some intersections are still in need of some reconstruction but are still accessible with caution.
June 3rd is National Trails Day and in celebration of the trails completion, Fox Cities Greenways will be hosting a full 50-mile bike ride of the Paper Trail. Hikers are also welcome to join the celebration and walk a portion of the trail. For more information on this event and to learn more about the Paper Trail, CLICK HERE.
