Final Fox Cities Summer To-Do's

The Fox Cities are sure to create a memorable summer, and while this year may look a bit different. there's still plenty left to do this summer.

Get Outside and Get Movin'

  • Parks - The Fox Cities are home to many gorgeous parks including Riverside Park in Neenah. Fondly nicknamed "Rocket Park" by the locals, Riverside Park has a playground that is shaped like a gigantic rocket ship.
  • Nature Preserves - Explore gorgeous nature preserves like Heckrodt Wetland Reserve. Heckrodt is a 76-acre urban nature reserve. The raised wooden trails will help keep your feet dry while taking in the wetland habitats.
  • Trails: Walking & Biking - Run, bike, or hike on the trails in the Fox Cities; from crossing bodies of water on the trestles to historical walking trails, there's something for everyone. The Fox Trot Trail is a 2.2 mile loop around Downtown Appleton with 16 different historical destinations to visit while you're on the trail.

  • Outdoor Dining - It's hard to imagine something better than good food and a warm summer breeze. Relax and watch the traffic go by in Downtown Appleton or soak in the serene sounds of water rushing down the Fox River while you enjoy a delicious meal. Mark's East Side in Appleton is ready to serve up their famous fish fry and Old Fashioneds on their patio.
  • Tour the Fox - Relax on Fox River Tours' boat, The River Tyme Too. Drive down to the RiverHeath and hop on board the boat. Book a trip for the sunset cruise for a truly relaxing experience.
