NEWVoices presents Rise Above the Ashes

Our April presentation will feature the premier of a unique multi-movement consortium commission work called We Are Phoenix, by Timothy C. Takach. The composer describes this as “a new, innovative piece of music for SATB choir and string quartet symbolizing the strength of the human spirit. The piece draws a powerful comparison between the resilience of humankind and the constant renewal of the Earth. We Are Phoenix combines the words of many different poets, demonstrating our shared ability to recover from hardship and come back even stronger.” Join us in rising to new heights of musical creativity!

Individual tickets: $25/10 for advanced adult and students respectively; $30/15 at door
