Women Leaders Program for Girls
September 30, 2023 — 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Overview
Join us on September 30 for Women Leaders Program for Girls ages 10-16 from 2:00-4:30 PM. This will be the final week of Women Leaders and will bring engineering and meteorology to life at Atlas! We are happy to host mentors Raegan Allen, Research and Engineering Director at Kimberly-Clark and Alexis Staniec, Meteorologist from WFRV-TV. The girls will walk through product development as they design their own Kleenex facial tissue. They will then move onto an exciting STEM activity related to meteorology and learn the unique skills needed to be a meteorologist. Each workshop feature’s introductions by mentors, brain teaser warm-ups, hands-on activities, snacks, refreshments and lots of conversation between current women leaders and future women leaders.
The cost is $15 per participant, $10 for members and $5 for those with an EBT card (or any government assistance program) as we are a proud participant of Museums for All. This is a great way for girls to start envisioning themselves in STEM roles and learning more about the everyday lives of these leaders in our area!
