Cheers! Remarkable Goblets from the Boroff Collection
July 27, 2024 to July 28, 2024
Overview
The use of glass to create goblets is by no means a recent invention. In fact, glassworkers in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia (present-day Iraq) first produced core-formed glass drinking vessels as early as 4,000 years ago. This exhibit highlights the recent acquisition of twelve postwar and contemporary glass goblets from generous donors Alan and Barbara Boroff of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
