Hearthstone's Spark Your Imagination Summer Camps
June 22, 2026 — 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
July 20-24 and August 3-7 (9:00am-3:30pm)
Overview
What’s more fun than hands-on activities for children in an exciting and stimulating environment? Trick question… Nothing!
Spark Your Imagination Summer Camp sessions at Hearthstone Historic House Museum teach children entering grades 4-7 (ages 9-12) about historic inventors and inventions related to Hearthstone and the Fox Valley using the museum’s rich resources.
Once children learn about Appleton’s innovative history, they begin thinking about the invention process through fun educational programming, interactive activities, and experiments. Children then identify a problem they wish to solve (it is very empowering!) and leave the camp with a new invention they created all on their own!
The day camp is offered for three sessions with each session meeting daily from 9 am-3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Each of these sessions consists of the same material and activities. There are 10 student openings per session. Session often fill up fast. Early registration is encouraged. The session are led by Hearthstone’s Museum Educator Autumn McCarty.
A field trip to nearby Vulcan Heritage Park is also included. Children must bring their own morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack.
The total cost per session is $100/student until June 15. After that cost is $125/student. Tuition covers the cost of all materials.
