"For retirees looking to experience all four seasons and to have relatively easy access to all corners of the country, the Midwest can be a preferable and affordable landing spot. When considering factors like the concentration of seniors, senior tax burden and access to medical centers, some cities in the Midwest are better suited for retirees.
In a new study, SmartAsset analyzed 98 Midwestern cities (with populations of at least 65,000 residents) across eight metrics to uncover the best places to retire.
Based on the analysis, Appleton ranks in the top 10 places to retire in the Midwest.
