1000 Islands Environmental Center
7.2 miles of trails.
Stroll along riverbank trails, hike nearby woods and keep your eye to the skies for a chance to see bald eagles that nest here. Nature center with trophy mounts from North America, Africa and Asia as well as several live critters.
Apple Creek Orchard
Lovely 2 acre Apple Farm. On scheduled tours we walk our visitors through the orchard, showing them different ways to grow apples. In the stores we sell fresh carmel apples, chocolates, jams, honeys, maples syrup, pumpkins, apple cider, fall giftware and soy candles.

Fox Wisconsin Heritage Water Trail
The Fox Wisconsin Heritage Water Trail is a paddle friendly water trail designed to enable non motorized water craft easy passage through the Fox River. The first segment of the trail is complete with portages at the Appleton locks and signage from Menasha to Kimberly. Heckrodt Wetland Reserve

Heckrodt Wetland Reserve includes 76 acres of forested wetland, wetland meadow, open water and upland field communities. Wheelchair and stroller friendly 3+ mile trail system allows access to the wetland without getting wet feet. 5,000 sq. ft. Nature Center includes live and mounted animals, indoor Discovery Den children's play area and bird watching solarium. Outdoor children's adventure area includes tunnels and mounds for climbing and crawling. Monthly public programs and special group programs for a fee.
High Cliff State Park
