Scheig Center Gardens
Overview
Feature many gardens including a native rose garden, serenity butterfly garden, native wildflower garden, fragrance garden, Veterans memorial garden and a water feature. Benches placed throughout the grounds encourage visitors to sit and enjoy the colors, textures, varieties and fragrances of the plantings.
Gardens are open to the public for free admission year-round. We invite you to stroll through the theme gardens which have been designed to offer changing patterns of natural beauty throughout the year. Most of the plants featured are native to Wisconsin.
The gardens are open year round with the peak growing season April through September. To help you plan your trip to the gardens, visit our website, www.appletonparkandrec.org, choose “Parks, Pavilions and Trails, Scheig Center, What is blooming?” to learn what is blooming and when. Park hours are 5am-11pm. Trails are open 24 hours per day. Park restrooms are open May 1-October 1.
