A recent report from 24/7 Wall Street places Appleton in the top five cities with the lowest poverty rate in the United States. 24/7 Wall Street used U.S. Census Bureau data from 2018 to review approximately 400 metro areas to determine the rankings, focusing on metrics such as median household income, number of households utilizing SNAP benefits, and unemployment rate.
