Many people consider their pets as members of their family, so why leave them behind when planning a trip? The Fox Cities in northeastern Wisconsin has plenty of pet-friendly places to experience with your furry friend. Take a day trip around the Fox Cities to some of these fur-tastic places!
Kaukauna Dog Park
303 Farmland Dr., Kaukauna
Let your pup release some energy! The Kaukauna Dog Park has 13-acres of grass-covered areas which include a small dog area, a large dog area, and a fenced-in pond where dogs can swim. If you’d like to get some exercise as well, take advantage of the walking trail around the pond. The park is open year-round and is the perfect place for unleashed play.

Head to Downtown Appleton if you’re looking to spoil your four-legged friend. The DePawsitory has everything your pet needs from Wisconsin-sourced food and homemade treats to a plethora of toys and other pet essentials.

Insider tip: After you treat your pup, treat yourself to a coffee and baked good at Copper Rock Coffee Co. or Brewed Awakenings, which both have pet-friendly patios right down the Avenue.

Grab a bite to eat for lunch with your pooch at the Stone Yard. The Stone Yard is a sports bar and grill that has two locations throughout the Fox Cities, both with pet-friendly patios. They specialize in great food and entertainment!

If you’re looking to take your 'good dog' on a walk, High Cliff State Park is a perfect place to explore! Leashed pets are welcome on the trails throughout the park. High Cliff also has two picnic areas and a swimming area for dogs. Make sure to visit the lookout points and the 40-foot observation tower for some beautiful views every season of the year.

Chubby Seagull

Don't miss a stop for ice cream at The Chubby Seagull. Located right at the entrance of High Cliff State Park, this quaint shop offers amazing ice cream, pizza, and other menu items. Their patio is pet-friendly and they are always happy to give your pup an ice-cream treat.
